HEFT carries out load testing and examination of lifting equipment to support statutory requirements and project-specific quality plans. Our competent persons work with cranes, lifting beams, slings, offshore containers and many other devices used in lifting operations.
We can perform proof load tests and functional checks on lifting appliances such as mobile cranes, tower cranes, EOT cranes, gantry cranes, davits, winches and hoists. Test procedures are agreed in advance and conducted with properly certified load cells, deadweights or water bags.
Loose lifting gear includes spreader beams, lifting beams, slings, shackles, hooks, clamps and other attachments. HEFT inspects these items visually, applies NDT where required and carries out proof load tests as appropriate. Each item is tagged and issued with a corresponding certificate and report.
For marine and port customers, HEFT can test and certify cargo gear, accommodation ladders, pilot ladders, gangways, mooring winch brakes and related equipment. Tests are carried out with appropriate loads and documented for port and flag state requirements.
